Another ‘must see’ when in Meiringen. I would suggest buying the combi ticket which is CHF18 for adults and allows you to do the iconic Aareschlucht walk and access to this lovely little funicular cable train upto the Reitenbach falls.
Absolutely stunning views of the falls and of The Valley below. You can do a fantastic hike from the top of the falls , across and down the ridge of the mountain and it will bring you to the west entrance of the Aareschlucht.
There are some very steep downward paths however so appropriate forward is definitely necessary. Along our walk away from the falls we encountered forested areas , farming areas and beautiful views of various mountain peaks.
The actual Reichenbach falls ‘Train’ makes it possible for everyone to have a view of this iconic and historic waterfall. Once again you experience the true beauty of nature in the Swiss surroundings.
Historic Cable Car from 1891, which brings you closer to the falls. If you want to climb to the bridge on the top of the fells, you need to walk steep stairs, depending on your fitness 20-40Min
This is an interesting funicular that runs up to the waterfall. It costs CHF8 per person. There are many photo opportunities and one spectacular bridge crossing.

Provides spectacular views on the way to the falls. A great additional stop for us after visiting Aare Gorge. Would recommend.
